I love my life.
Of all the marvelous things about it, my favorites are these -
Faith.
I belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Jesus Christ is my best friend and my greatest ally. I am so grateful for everything He did and is doing now for me. I know that no matter what I am going through, He has already suffered it for me, and will know just how to comfort me and help me through it. I'm grateful for a Heavenly Father who was willing to send His Son to do that for us. Most of all, I'm grateful for the ability to change - constant progression is my goal.

Family.
Mom, dad, four sisters, one brother, one yappy little dog.
We delight in road trips, family parties, national parks, Netflix, and teasing each other mercilessly.
I believe that I can love them forever, and words cannot adequately express how much that means to me, which generally means those feelings cascade out in waterfalls down my face.
Music.
I think it, breathe it, feel it, sleep it, sing it, play it, live it.
Don't ask me about it unless you have time to chat. I'll go on for hours.
Learning.

Learning.
I am currently pursuing my post-secondary schooling at Utah State University, where I do really cool things like research human behavior, go to school full-time, scrounge desperately for money to pay for it, and (sometimes) discover handsome male people.
I am a student in the Music Therapy program, which is awesome. To learn more about music therapy, click here.

I am two and a half years away from a BA in the aforementioned program, and when I receive that degree I fully plan on saving the world with my mad therapeutic skills and my absolutely inconceivable knowledge of music and the human brain.
It. Will. Be. Awesome.
People.
I love people.
Meeting them; spending time with those I already know; serving them; watching them.
Different cultures, my own culture... Doesn't matter. They're all God's children and they are all AMAZING.
People are incredible - Even the weird or bad or scary ones.
Everyone is capable of so much. It just takes some determination.
God knew what He was doing, that's for sure.

On November 7th, 2012, I received my call to the Belgium/Netherlands Mission, where I served for best 18 months of my life, and learned to speak the language of my ancestors - Dutch.
After the greatest and most difficult adventure of my 21 years, I returned home September 24th, 2014. Before you ask - My adjustment to "regular life" has been all right. I'm just trying to figure out how RM (returned missionary) life works without forgetting the incredible things I learned out in the mission field. To read more about that click here.

Right now this blog is just mostly me forcing my music taste, bad poetry, graphic design attempts, internet discoveries, amateur photography, musical adventures, and the occasional outfit on you.
Until then, here I am.
I'm just a little gnome on my journey through the big garden of life, taking life as it comes and loving it... Making really awful metaphors.
But you know what? I'm finding some grand things along the way!
