Thought provokers, my friends. Thought provokers.
Watch that movie. It will make you feel a lot of things.

DISCLAIMER: There are some things that The Perks of Being a Wallflower displays and/or promotes that I absolutely do not advocate or agree with. I simply think it is thought provoking (and the music is fantastic, by the way). It's also a bit irreverent and/or uncomfortable in parts, so be careful.... You have been warned.

because valentines are fun

I apologize for the Harry Potter overload... But not really. :)
The dementor one is CREEEEEPY.

Here are some music inspired ones!

Happy Valentine's Day!
If you are single and/or bitter....
Happy Single Awareness Day!
Now go watch (500) Days of Summer, because it's the best anti-Valentine's Day movie ever made.

pinteresting: Batman

So I decided to start this new thing where I pick a theme every week and find cool things/pictures related to that theme on Pinterest and post them for your reading/viewing pleasure!
Most of them will inevitably be music related and/or nerdy beyond all reason.
Like today's, which is my favorite superhero of ever.
Batman.

You've probably all seen The Dark Knight Rises by now. I haven't. :(
Things just didn't really work out for me to go to the midnight showing, which is a bummer.
BUT. I will see it. Then I'll probably see it again. And again. And again. :)
Because I believe in Batman. And Christopher Nolan's incredible skills.

Now. Pinterest!

gatsby is not a circus

I absolutely cannot express how terrified I am for this movie.
Somehow it escaped my knowledge that it was Baz Luhrmann's project until this morning.
I had been unbelievably excited previously - Gatsby is undoubtedly my favorite classic, and one of my favorite books in general. I heard about the movie, wondered how the chosen cast would do, and loved the stills that came out a few months ago.
But no matter how much I loved Moulin Rouge!, Romeo+Juliet is a travesty that cannot be forgotten. If he ruins Gatsby, I will have a long, sobby cry-fest.

I honestly feel like it could go either way. For the most part, the costumes look incredible.
The music in the trailer is mostly terrible... But the scenery is magnificent, especially the eyes and glasses -  in the single shot of them that's shown in the trailer, they're exactly the way I've always imagined them.
The props... Just look at that yellow car, it's perfect.

Basically, if Luhrmann follows the book, it'll be wonderful.
But after what he did with Romeo and Juliet, I'm worried.
