unhealthy

I realized today, as I chewed on a Wint-O-Green Lifesaver Mint, that over my eighteen and a half years, I have acquired several unhealthy obsessions.
Actually, I prefer the word "fixation" because it sounds less creepy.
I decided I should document them, because they're kind of fantastic.
Plus, if I ever become un-obsessed with them, it'll be fun to look back on them. :)

Fixation #1 - Wint-O-Green Lifesaver Mints
I don't even know how this happened.
I love these things. They are wonderful.
Did you know that if you chomp down on one in a dark room with a mirror, you can see sparks?
So cool, right?
Their Product Description on Amazon is perfect:
"Leading non-chocolate confection that through its shape, hole, original flavors and outlook promotes joy and evokes happiness"
Also, Amazon sells 2 50-oz bags for $17.96. It's a good thing I'm poor.
Most people just suck on mints right? Not me.
I eat these things one after another. And another.
And another.
And.
Another.
:)
Fixation #2 - My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic
If you haven't seen this show, but you have Netflix...
Go. Now.
Watch the first four episodes.
The first two are all right, but as you get further into the series, they get better and better and better.
I started watching this show because I have a four-year-old sister and I'm home for the summer.
But then... I started watching it when she wasn't around.
People. I even watch it when I'm alone.
It's hilarious! It actually has a huge following of people my age. These people have taken to calling themselves "bronies" and "pegasisters," which are awesome ways of saying "hey, I love a show made for little girls and I'm not ashamed."
I have successfully coerced a few of my good friends to watch it. They're totally hooked now too. :)

Fixation #3 - Doctor Who
Specifically, the Tenth Doctor.
Have you seen his face?

Also on Netflix.
Give it a fair chance before discounting it. I love the first season, but once you reach David Tennant...
So much love.

I have more... But I'll save 'em for later.
You might just think I'm crazy if I tell you everything at once! ;)
Until then, know that if you ever feel a sudden desire to give me a bag of Wint-O-Green Lifesaver Mints, or
MLP merchandise, or David Tennant's number... Feel free. So, so free.

Marvel{ous} at this! {Mondayyyyyy}

Dear, dear lovelies.
Guess what?
I *graduate* from high school this week.
I have been so ready to graduate all year long.
And now... Though I'm ready to be done...
I don't feel ready to grow up.
After Thursday, I have to be an adult. Somewhat anyway.
I don't know if I want to do that yet. :(
I have not had a lovely high school experience...
These have not been the best years of my life...
But I've been taken care of.
I know that won't completely go away, but... I don't know.
I told my friend earlier that I probably just worry too much.
Don't get me wrong, I'm EXCITED as all get out!
Everything will work out, I know that. I'm just anxious, I suppose.

Anyway, I need to get my marvelous on. Today was a very Monday-ish Monday.
Things I loved about today:
-Sleeping in!
-50 points of extra credit in Psych, which brought me up to a solid A!
-Getting my yearbook early 'cos I'm a senior. :)
-Being questioned about prank texting... :)
-Good music. Like this song, which has been stuck in my head all day! :)

-Harmonizing with the radio, as always! It's the best!
-Not dying in a car accident. Even though traffic was awful and I thought I might!
-Seeing friends that I haven't seen in a long time.
-Wearing my cowboy boots. :)
-Having weird, awesome, philosophical text conversations.
-Pondering my life
-Scripture mastery memorization tools! :)
-Hemp bracelets.
-Rain when it's hot outside! It felt soooo good.
-Taking shoes off after getting a blister. Also feels soooo good. :)
-Feeling somewhat in shape.
-Feeling attractive!
-Coming to terms with my new haircut... We cut off a few inches last week and it's been weird!
-Summer weather! For some of the day anyway. :)
-The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints!
-Realizing that this week is super pointless and I can do things I want to instead of sitting in a classroom doing absolutely nothing because the teacher is just as worn out as all the students are.
-Wearing my nine-year-old brother's clothing. :)
-Things working out after they've failed for quite a while!

Life is so incredibly good... I have nothing to complain about. :)
