As awful as this is, I had to share it. I laughed long and hard. My sister McKayla laughed even harder for an even longer time... And made weird noises which made her laugh harder. :)
Now that you've been entertained/super grossed out... Have a nice Memorial Day weekend! I'm off to Southern Utah! :) Expect pictures when I get back!
I actually had this post written out on paper yesterday. Just never got it up on Blogger... Anyhow. Lovely long list today (alliteration! :) ). Things I loved about {yester}day: -Turning in my psychology book -It was the last legitimate Monday of high school! (There's one more, but no one comes the last week...) -This week only has four school days. :) -Starbursts. And positive reinforcement. In a psych class. Yesss. -Microflow.... It's what I do allllll the live long day while I sort of pay attention in classes. -Realizing that I have money! Like... Really! -Waking up late, but with enough time to get ready still. -Being able to shower and leave the house having done almost nothing at all with my hair. -Rock-paper-scissors tournaments -Getting new music -Old friends -New friends -Poetic moods -Poetry that has a personal meaning to you. Even if it's yours, ha. :) -The color blue -Pens (over pencils. :P) -Stretching -Stripes -Ribbon -The pile of books next to my bed that are just waiting to be read! -Silver -Surprises -Frugality -Music puns (Can you Handel it?... We've got your Bach... Haydn seek... :) ) -Super large purses that fit the world inside them -Bow-ties -Donuts. Also, chocolate milk. -Cherry Carmex -And last, but not at all least... Further proof that Jon Schmidt and Steven Sharp Nelson are completely and utterly brilliant:
So it was raining really hard, and then it decided to stop and give the sun a chance to come out.
I am very appreciative. Thank you, clouds, for giving someone else a chance to shine (bahaha, I'm so punny).
Anyway, I wanted to make an appearance today, too! I should really start posting more often. I feel like Marvelous Mondays have become a "oh look I only have to post on Mondays I'm done okay bye". So...
I'm fixing that. :)
Here are some lovely things! -
Thisproves that Jon Schmidt and Steven Sharp Nelson are completely ingenious.
I almost can't believe this...
I'm proud to call the author of this my best friend.
Yes, you're shocked, I know. It's a Monday, and I'm posting... There's a first time for everything. ;)
Today has been an especially horrible Monday, so it's a good thing that I have so much to be thankful for, too. Otherwise I might be upset, and then where would we be?
Anyhow, I shall leave my words for the list. :)
Things I loved about today:
-Random texts from EFY buddies! Especially with inside jokes.
-The prospect of working three jobs... College will happen!
-Cheesecake cupcakes
- Awesome prospective college friends
- This song. And just this woman in general.
-Water! It saves me from coughing up a lung!
- Talking to my uncle Russ, whom I have not seen for ages because he lives in North Carolina (in the town where my best friend is moving to... Go figure.)
- Boiled eggs
- Random tuna cravings...
- Meeting new people. :)
- Renaming new friends (who are boys) with woman names. You know who you are.
- Being renamed George
- I got to work on time!
- Facebook
- Discovering that my Psych project is actually just a presentation of information that I already have
- This video. The title itself is lovely. :)
- The fact that even though I woke up super late, I was still fairly well groomed.
- Kleenex. Oh man.
- Pain killers and cold/cough meds! I am not a zombie because of them!
- The fact that I could still sort of sing in Chorale today, even though my voice is rather shot.
- I don't feel like I failed my math test! Which is good, because I need to pass the class.
- Repainting nails
- Having time to blog
- Being able to listen to music because my homework didn't require too much rational thought... :)
- My mother's reaction to Death Cab for Cutie's name. You'd think with band names like Oingo Boingo, Men Without Hats, and Twisted Sister from her generation she wouldn't bat an eye. :)
So all in all, it was TOTES not that bad of a day! ;)
I blame Blogger this time. I tried to log in and post several times this week, only to find an out-of-service type message every time... It was rather frustrating! Anyhow, I am here, as are some marvelous things. Things I loved about... Forever? (Maybe just the past two weeks.)
-The fact that I was super upset that "Rolling in the Deep" (by the lovely Adele; I posted it here) was number one on the iTunes top ten. I've officially become a musical non-comformist. Or something.
-Fancy dreams that involve awesome things! Like pretty yellow convertibles and fantastic hugs and not dying!
-Prom. And my big red dress... :)
-Discovering new, lovely songs that I didn't know I had on my iPod! This time it was "July Flame" by Laura Veirs. It was a Single of the Week on iTunes at some point, I guess!
-The gorgeous 75-degree weather we've been having! It is so nice to be able to wear whatever I so desire instead of pants, long sleeves, coats, sweatshirts... You get the picture.
-I found our copy of Photoshop Elements! It isn't all of Photoshop, but it's something. :)
-Having two jobs... And an interview for a third one on Monday! I'm making bank! Or will be if anyone ever starts sending me/giving me checks...
-Realizing that next week is the last full week of high school that I'll ever have!
-Taking the test for my World Civ packet and breathing a sigh of relief... I'm going to graduate! :)
-Silver nail polish
-Mexican jewelry, especially earrings like this and bracelets like this!
-Running in the Salt Lake City chapter of the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure!
-The fact that I actually had an outfit that I liked well enough to post... I have this whole aspiration to jump on the fashion blogger bandwagon, as I am obsessed with them... But I don't like my clothing choices enough.Yet. Gotta do some hardcore thrifting for college one of these days. Someday soon I'll try out Kendi's 30 for 30 challenge. :)
I'm sure I missed about a zillion and a half things, but there you are. :) That's all, folks!
Definitely late again... But it's happening! :) Things I loved about today
-The weird obsession that my brain has had with wanting to say "def"... What in the world is that about?
-Miriam Blaser and her lovely mother! Not only did they provide me with a dress (it's sorta like the red one here) for Senior's, I also get to wear some gorgeous jewelry! And Sister Blaser is fixing the dress. On her own time. So awesome. :) Thanks, lovely women!
